Green Peels

The Green Peel® was created by Christine Schrammeck over 30 years ago in Germany and her daughter Dr. Christine Schrammeck, MD scientifically developed and continues the development of the Green Peel®. Today it is used by many dermatologists and Estheticians worldwide in over 40 countries.

What is the Green Peel?

The Green Peel® is a scientifically developed skin regeneration procedure, with only pure natural plant ingredients, which has been recognized world-wide and proven to be a safe and successful method of peeling that is a non-medical procedure. The preparation is a compound of natural herbs without any chemical additives. It increases the blood circulation of the skin and causes the upper epidermal layers to peel off. The stimulated blood circulation intensifies metabolism and promotes a healthy more youthful looking skin.

In contrast to other exfoliating products, the Green Peel® does not contain any chemicals or synthetic peeling agents. It is safe and has no side effects. The success of the Green Peel® Treatment is attributed to both the ingredients and the ability to control the intensity of the treatment. The Green Peel is applied to the face with hands and how much you peel following it's application is determined by the pressure used during application and the time spent applying the peel. Green Peel may require some "down time".

Botox® and Xomin are sold by the bottle and by the unit. If you require only part of the bottle, you might consider bringing in a friend to share your bottle. Depending on how many areas you and your friends would like to treat and the amount of Botulinum Toxin A required for each area, you might choose to share a bottle of Botulinum Toxin A with a friend.

Although Botulinum Toxin A may be administered at one time with a friend, each client requires a private consultation prior to any administration. Consultations will review risks and benefits to Botulinum Toxin A and will include picture taking. There is currently no fee for this consultation.

Botox® is currently being used to help prevent migraine headaches, hyperhydrosis, and TMJ. Call for a medical consultation appointment.

TCA Peels

Zulene's offers both 15% and 30% Trichloroacetic Acid peels. This is a non-toxic chemical peel that has been used to perform skin peels for over 20 years and may require some "down time" or time to peel. You feel well enough to go to work, but you might not want to while your face is peeling. The 15% peel has little to no "down time". All skin care treatments require a contract not to go into tanning beds and to use sunscreens that contain Zinc and/or Titanium daily.

TCA peels are most commonly used to : Reduce brown spots and age spots; to improve the texture of leather, sun damaged skin and import more glow; to improve melisma; to treat some types of acne; and to reduce fine lines.

Alpha Hydroxy Acids

Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs): A family of acids that have exfoliating and hydrating properties. The acid functions by absorbing into the stratum corneum and gradually loosening the cement bond that holds the cells together. The amount of "down time" or "peeling" time is dependant upon the clients tolerance, amount of acid used, and the condition of the clients skin to start with. Generally speaking, these are the most gentle peels.

Glycolic Acid (Also called Fruit Acid): A 2 carbon chain acid originally made from sugar cane, however today most are chemically engineered. Due to its small molecular structure (smallest of the five AHAs) it has great penetrating abilities. It supports the regeneration of the skin and is of benefit to acne prone skin.

Lactic Acid: A 3 carbon chain acid originally made from soured milk, it is of benefit to dry, sensitive skin because of its hydrating qualities. It also stimulates regeneration of skin cells. Good for all skin types because it is not as reactive as Glycolic Acid.

Juvederm is a new hylauronic acid gel. It advertises that it last six months. Restylane® advertises that it lasts three months. No testing is required. I now use Juvederm.

NaPCA - this is sodium salt of pyrollidone carboxylic acid, the natural moisturizing factor derived from vegetables and fruits and found in human skin.

Microdermabrasion is a form of gently removing the outer layers of skin with the use of a mild abrasive. In the office we use a microdermabrasion machine. It may have a diamond bit or crystals. There is skin cleansing and preparation done before the procedure. The procedure is deeper than what you will get with over-the-counter products. There is no down time required for microdermabrasion. It is usually performed every week for five to six weeks with a maintenance procedure done once a month after that.
